Win Bloop Original Art! – Bloop Contest for May, 2012
Hi, everyone! The last couple of months have been BIG for our little space monkey. We unveiled the first page of the Bloop graphic novel in March and so far the response has been wonderful.
And in just the past few weeks, we passed the 17,000-mark for Facebook fans and Bloop received his very first – and very kind – review from the Graphic Novel Reader. We also relaunched the Bloop web site with all new art!
To celebrate, we’re giving away the pencil artwork for the new web site art. The art is signed by the artist and will also include a signed print of the final, color image. Five runner ups will receive signed, color prints of the final art.
The art will be used in other ways as well such as a posters, postcards and convention signage. So it’s a nice piece of art to own! The art is drawn in pencil on 11×17-inch art paper – there’s a light-blue sketch of the cover printed on the board as well – which was used as an under-drawing for the final pencil image. The color prints are 11×17-inch as well.
How do you win the art? Simply reply to this post on the Bloop web site below. One winner and five runners up will be chosen at random. One entry per person, please.
The contest will run through the month of May and a winner will be announced on June 1, 2012.
If you can’t think of anything to write, just write “Bloop!”
Good luck! — Steve

I love Bloop so far. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, the detail is amazing, and the story is progressing great. I look forward to the new installments each week!
The site is awesome, the story is awesome, Bloop is awesome. Keep up the fantastic work Steve!
I so wish I win! Bloop is so adorable.
I have been loving what I have read of Bloop, I have to admit that I am allowing some buffer room on pages, because a page a week is too little for me, but the fist few pages have been entertaining. My girlfriend and I have picked up all the prints at cons, and I plan on picking up all future prints, because the artwork (and artist) are so great!
Bloop is my favorite little green guy; I love the the effort put into each and every page, it really shines through! Another thing I like about Bloop is how the trees, branches, and leaves separate each panel. It is much different than the traditional comic strip.
Loved seeing you at the Annapolis Comic Con! Glad to see that Bloop is getting it’s wheels off the ground, beautiful artwork.
Keep up the great work, Steve.
It is looking great, Steve
I like your art! !!!!! A LOT!!!!!
Original art?! I’m in!
Loving Bloop so far, and I can’t wait to see more.
There’s only one space monkey in our house…we love Bloop!
That’s great! It’s been a pleasure chatting with you at a couple of shows that I brought my son to. And, I agree, Bloop is adorable. All the best.
Looks very cool.
I’m glad I met you at Free Comic Book Day. So far I am enjoying Bloop!
Thank you all so much for the very kind words. I didn’t imagine it would turn into such an outpouring of support but it means the world to me. @Tyler: I totally agree about Bloop’s slow schedule. I wish I could produce the pages more quickly.
Thanks again , everyone!
Intersting.
I love this site and the art work is so cool.
‘Bloop’ is wonderful, Steve!
