Bloop Finds His Tree!

Page 10 of Bloop! Bloop finds his tree!

In this week’s new page – page ten for those counting – Bloop finally finds his tree.

As a cartoonist, this was one of the most challenging pages so far. There had been nine pages of build-up to this and we’d seen a LOT of trees – all of which I wanted to make a pretty as possible. It was a tall order.

I’m really happy with the result. I hope you like it too. :)

You can read the first ten pages here: http://bloopstree.com/webcomic/.

Next week, we meet the villain!

Win Bloop Original Art! – Bloop Contest for May, 2012

Written by Steve Conley. Posted in News

Hi, everyone! The last couple of months have been BIG for our little space monkey. We unveiled the first page of the Bloop graphic novel in March and so far the response has been wonderful.

And in just the past few weeks, we passed the 17,000-mark for Facebook fans and Bloop received his very first – and very kind – review from the Graphic Novel Reader. We also relaunched the Bloop web site with all new art!

To celebrate, we’re giving away the pencil artwork for the new web site art. The art is signed by the artist and will also include a signed print of the final, color image. Five runner ups will receive signed, color prints of the final art.

Bloop original pencil art

The art will be used in other ways as well such as a posters, postcards and convention signage. So it’s a nice piece of art to own! The art is drawn in pencil on 11×17-inch art paper – there’s a light-blue sketch of the cover printed on the board as well – which was used as an under-drawing for the final pencil image. The color prints are 11×17-inch as well.

How do you win the art? Simply reply to this post on the Bloop web site below. One winner and five runners up will be chosen at random. One entry per person, please.

The contest will run through the month of May and a winner will be announced on June 1, 2012.

If you can’t think of anything to write, just write “Bloop!” :)

Good luck! — Steve
